Modern technology meets art in the work of artists Lee Vanderwalker and Ted Johnson on display through Sept. 13 at River's Edge Gallery, 3024 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte.

Detroit-based Vanderwalker uses bright colors on hand-painted silk to reflect the atmosphere of her Caribbean home.
Johnson, who works mainly as a digital painter, creates "original inkjet paintings" depicting men, women and children.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
