Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has dubbed his 19-date solo tour "my month-long bull session." It's everything I love to do in a show -- basically run my mouth and play guitar and sing," he adds with a laugh.

During the concerts Taylor reads from his new book, "Seven Deadly Sings: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good," does a bit of Q&A with the audience and plays music from both his bands, as well as some covers. "I'm almost like a jukebox," Taylor, 38, notes. "I know so many songs that it's hard to keep track sometimes.

"We did this in England when I went over there to promote (the book), and they were such a success we were like, 'Why don't we try doing it in the States and see what happens? I just love getting up and plying for an audience whether it's just me and a guitar or me running around like a maniac."

Taylor has been be posting video clips from the concerts on his web site "to show people what to expect when they come to one of these things." He also plans to write an additional chapter for "Seven Deadly Sins" that will include "a lot of moments from this tour."

And Taylor -- who will be touring with Slipknot and is planning to record another Stone Sour album in 2012 -- says he "couldn't be happier" with the reception for "Seven Deadly Sins," which spent four weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list and five weeks on the Times of London's chart.

"It's just one more thing I can say I've done and just one more thing I can do with my life," explains Taylor, who's already eyeballing other book projects. "I've already got an idea for my next book...It might please a lot of people and it might also (anger) a lot of people off, but it's not like I've let that hold me back so far."

Corey Taylor performs Friday, Nov. 25, at the Eagle Theater, 15 S. Saginaw St., Pontiac. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25. Call (248) 858-9333 or visit www.thecrofoot.com.
