It's not hard to feel the buzz around Australia's Atlas Genius.

With one EP (2012's "Through The Glass") and an album (this year's "When It Was Now"), the duo of brothers Keith and Michael Jeffrey have made a quick mark with the Top 20 singles "Trojans" and "If So" -- the latter of which is also on the soundtrack of the "FIFA 13" video game. A spot opening for Imaginary Dragons earlier this year only helped keep the momentum building, as will a spot on this year's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

The Jeffreys themselves, however, are keeping a cautious arm's length from the excitement.

"I guess there's an increasing amount of (social media) traffic or Twitter, that sort of thing," says singer-guitarist Keith Jeffrey. "You get an idea there's more people listening to the band. Those kind of things give us an idea things are on track.

"But that's not why we got into music, for popularity. We got into music for a love of creating music. We really just focus on the shows and the music itself, really, and hope everything else works out."

That certainly seems to be happening, and the success has turned the two brothers from Adelaide into global citizens at this point. The result of that, Keith Jeffrey says, is a completely different worldview than they had before.

"When you're a kid, the world's like a huge place, but once you do as much traveling as we have in the past year, I don't feel like I'm ever too far from home, to be honest," he explains. "It's only a 'quick' flight home, but you're never too far away, really.

"And we're spending so much time over here America is starting to feel like home. I think New York's my number one pick if I'm going to live anywhere in the States, but we're not even looking at that yet."
