Album of the Week: Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires comprise a bona fide supergroup whose self-titled debut, "The Highwomen" (Low Country Sound/Elektra), features guest appearances by Sheryl Crow and Lola and songwriting collaborations with Ray LaMontagne, Miranda Lambert, Jason Isbell, Jimmy Webb and others.

Album Title of the Week: Vitriol, "To Bathe From the Throat of Cowardice" (Century Media)

Did'ya Know?: Miles Davis's "Rubberband" (Rhino/Warner Music) is a 1985 recording that was abandoned in favor of the subsequent "Tutu" but recreated by original producers Randy Hall and Zane Giles along with Davis' nephew and drummer Vince Wilburn Jr. Vocals by Ledisi and Lala Hathaway have been added to the party for this release.
